Pound of Flesh

A field of blue flames surrounded me. I turned and looked at the writhing flames. They sang to me, and strangely, I understood them. They wanted to come closer and touch my dead flesh. Their hypnotic rhythms danced in my eyes. I lifted a hand to touch the curling flames. Fiery tendrils moved to my outstretched hand, ready to touch my fingers. When we were an inch apart, light stabbed down from the sky and I yanked my hand back to cover my eyes.

My eyes blinked open as dim light glowed from my windows. I slowly sat up, my mind in a deep fog as I tried to remember anything. Memories dripped and soon flooded my thoughts, showing and speaking to the night of raunchy sex with a certain succubus.

I could barely keep track of the number of times we went at it or how many times we came. The hate fucking escalated to me cursing Dezma as I fucked her. She moaned louder, sometimes cursing me and other times being submissive and lost to a sea of orgasms.

I looked over to my side and saw the bed was empty except for me.

The forest behind the hotel was a kaleidoscope of colors from red and orange, to yellow and brown. It was beautiful to look at as I was very relaxed.

A hint of movement caught my eyes and I looked down. Branches moved and a woman in a full-length dress stepped out with a panicked squirrel in her hand. I stared down and saw that the woman was Vanessa, the banshee guest here at the hotel. I remained still as I watched her like a psycho.

Vanessa looked around nervously, I assumed to make sure no one was around. The squirrel continued to thrash in her hand. It was unusual to see a woman who held a kind of refinement, step out of the forest like a beautiful monster.

Vanessa lifted the squirrel in her hand and it continued to try and break free. She lifted up her other hand and grabbed the head. I felt my eyes widen a hair as she broke its neck. The little furry body went limp. Vanessa opened her mouth and inhaled. I was mesmerized as thin black strands slipped into Vanessa’s mouth and disappeared.

Vanessa closed her mouth and looked at the dead squirrel in her hands. She knelt down, placed the body on the ground and covered it with dead leaves that had already fallen off some trees.
